Horace Richebé (1871-1958) is a french artist who was born in Algiers. He trained at Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Marseille and then entered the atelier of Jean-Léon Gérôme in Paris. He received a grand at the Exposition Coloniale de Marseille, and traveled to Tunisia in 1906. Horace Richebé

He received a grand at the Exposition Coloniale de Marseille, and traveled to Tunisia in 1906. Horace Richebé is mostly well known for his marines and his Provence landscapes. From 1924 to 1941, he was Chief Curator at the Musée d’Arles and Director of the School of Art. Horace Richebé died in Nice in 1958, aged 67 years old.
