Rodrigue KOUAME is an autodidact Ivorian artist studing accounting. He was born 20 April 1992 at Agboville in Ivory Coast.
Rodrigue KOUAME is an emerging talent of Ivorian contemporary art in particular and African contemporary art in general. He mixes Pop Art and Street Art. His works are essentially based on
paintings
in acrylic, ink and aerosols. His inspiration comes from his tribal roots, through his works, he transcribes tales and legends from the AKAN people living between the centre and south west of
the
Ivory Coast and Ghana.

He works for the permanence of African culture in general and in particular the culture of the AKAN people he comes from.

His technique is to start several works at once and finalise them little by little. To express all the inspiration that he has inside him Rodrigue KOUAME likes working works of important size,
from
50x50 cm to 1x1 m.

For reasons of economy, he works on canvas, paper of 300 gr and bristol.

He participated in a first exhibition in 2017, an exhibition during the Festival des Arts et de la Culture Dan, Tonkpi Nihidaley, from 7 to 12 december 2017 in Man: Dances, music, masks and
meetings.

For 2018 he was already selected to participate in a new exhibition the JAA 2018 from 27 april to 1 may in Abidjan.

Work of 50 x 70 cm, mix of styles and mixed techniques delivered without chassis.
