Superb Baule statue, representing a "Goli Glin" dancer wearing the mask and the traditional dance costume.

These pieces are used as part of the cult of Goli dances.

Goli Glin "is a particular mask, which can not be seen by women when it is performed with. The bells struck at a certain rhythm accompany the dancer, and at the sound of these bells, women take refuge inside their home.

Baoule : The Baoulé (or Baule) are an Akan people and one of the largest groups in the Ivory Coast.
