Senoufo statue, ethnic group located in the north of Ivory Coast.
The artwork presents a scarified woman (therefore initiated into the Poro rites), seated on a Senoufo stool.
The sculpture has superb details and a typically Senoufo posture.
Beautiful patina of dark appearance. Some small cracks due to age.

Dimensions: 36 x 9.5 x 9 cm
Weight: about 0.740 kg without packaging.
Materials: Wood

Senufo : people is settled in Burkina Faso, Mali and Ivory Cost. They live from agriculture. Their art consists in masks ans sculptures. The Calao mythical bird is very important in seufo's iconography.
