2 Mingqi, Tang dwarf bridesmaids

2 Mingqi white terracotta "Kaolin" (rare and popular at the time) representing two dwarf bridesmaids.
Dwarves were a sign of wealth and luxury under the Tang Dynasty, they were servants.
They could also be gifts between powerful lords as were rare animals. These riders were to be in the grave of a powerful noble family (see Companions of Eternity page 239).
