Cast bronze, traces of blue on the hair. Rare piece, from the Zanabazar school. Impact and traces of red pigment on the bottom of the statue at the back. Zanabazar, illustrious Mongol from the
17th
century, brought to the region a renaissance in issues related to spirituality, including theology and art. He mastered amongst other things the sacred arts of bronze casting and painting. He
was
a
constant source of inspiration, notably for the sculptors from the 17th to the 19th century in Mongolia.
