The work of Claude Weisbuch is essentially devoted to engraving, which he likes to translate, thanks to the line, the life, the movement and the character of his characters: performers, harlequins, musicians or equestrian scenes. He practices various techniques such as lithography or drypoint.

Claude Weisbuch is also a painter and draftsman. His favorite colors are ochres, browns and whites, with which he seeks to introduce the effects of light by
compositions where the line and the delicacy of the drawing preserve the life that one finds in his engravings.

Drypoint : Engraving technique using a thin steel needle to cut the metal plate.
Claude Weisbuch : (1927-2014) is a french painter and engraver who won The "prix annuel de la critique" (annual price of the critic) in 1961. His technic of specialization is engraving (he was engraving teacher at Fine-Arts school of Saint Etienne). He illustrated many bibliophily works.
