Rodrigue "Obodjé" KOUAME is a self-taught Ivorian painter and student in accounting
He was born on April 20, 1992 in Agboville in Ivory Coast.
Rodrigue "Obodje" KOUAME is a rising value of contemporary Ivorian art in particular and African in general. He mixes Pop-Art and Street Art. His works are essentially made with acrylic paints,
inks
and aerosols.

His inspiration comes from his tribal roots, through his works he transcribes tales and legends of the AKAN people who live between the central and southwestern Ivory Coast and Ghana.

He works to perpetuate African culture in general and in particular the AKAN People's culture from which he comes.

His technique is to start several works at once and to finalize them in turn. To express all the inspiration he has in him Rodrigue "Obodje" KOUAME likes to work with works
of large sizes, ranging from 50x50cm up to 1x1m.

For reasons of economy, he works on canvas, paper 300gr and Bristol. He participated in a first exhibition in 2017, exhibition at the Festival of Arts and Culture Dan, Tonkpi Nihidaley, from 7 to
12
December 2017 in Man: Dances, music and masks.

For 2018, he is already selected to participate in a new exhibition JAA 2018 from April 27 to May 1, 2018 in Abidjan.

Rodrigue Kouamé takes inspiration from forms, drawings, tags and transforms them with his own style. He uses them as a mirror, sometimes with the recycling of old works ...
