Obey: "Chuck D has long been one of my heroes as a founder and rapper-in-chief of Public Enemy, as a political and social voice, activist, and now co-singer of Prophets of Rage, I'm always looking for apologies for collaborating with Chuck and celebrating his influence on me and culture in general, so I was very happy to work with him and Janette Beckman, whose hip-hop and punk photography I loved for years. On Public Enemy's 30th Anniversary "It takes a nation of millions to hold us back" on June 28th, I decided that one of Janette de Chuck's pictures from that time would be great for me to illustrate as a tribute to my favorite MC and my favorite hip-hop album of all time.
