Each lithographic stone is systematically destroyed after use.
The impression of a drawing is therefore only one time respecting the number of prints advertised.

8 different versions of this lithograph were executed by Munch between 1895 & 1913.
It remains to this day one of the most expensive in the world. Some hand-crafted copies exceed one million Euros. We propose it for the first time in the world in reissue.

In 1895, the first prints of this lithograph were printed in Berlin in black & white. Even though the practice of color was experienced in the large lithographic workshops.
Parisians, it was used very little in Germany.
Munch firstly presented his Madonna in black on which he later added different combinations of colors by hand.
He transformed his prints into unique works of art comparable to his paintings.

When we embarked on this re-release project, nothing was left to chance.
With our know-how and experience, we used drawing and printing techniques that are exactly the same as those used by Munch.
As in 1895, the colorized version was entirely made by hand thus making each copy of this lithograph unique.
