Gaston Sebire :
Realizing his first exhibitions in the Rouen region around 1945, he moved to Paris in 1951 and soon exhibited in galleries: Visconti, Charpentier, Drouant and subsequently Findlay. His first major achievement will be the design of the costumes and sets of The Gray Angel, ballet of Claude Debussy for the Marquis de Cuevas in 1953.
That same year, he was laureate of Casa de Velázquez in Madrid.
Gaston Sébire was appointed painter of the Navy in 1973. He became a member of the Academy of Rouen in 1973. Throughout the second half of the twentieth century, he exhibited in major Parisian salons, and is notably part of the group Maurice Boitel in exhibition of paintings "Comparisons", for forty-five years.
