Informations :
"Picasso told me that if I put a ceramic in the oven I would be lost. But I have always had a tendency to lose myself with relish." Cocteau thus commented upon his work on ceramic.
In 1957, Cocteau met Jolly and Madeline, and, following the path traced by his friend Picasso, started to launch himself with passion in the creation of ceramics. He devoted himself to this
creation
that reflected a kind of culmination of his artistic expression until his death in 1963.
After all, he said concerning his ceramics : "Ceramic saved my life ! It prevents me from using ink which became dangerous because everything we write is systematically distorted..."

(In excellent condition.)
