This lithograph is part of the series of 10 lithographs assembled in the portfolio Paris Capitale ("Capital Paris"), the last work edited by Utrillo, who died shortly following its publication.

Maurice Utrillo : (1883-1955) is the ultimate parisian painter, Utrillo was born in Montmartre december 26, 1883. He is the son of Suzanne Valadon and certainly of the spanish painter Miguel Utrillo. Typical painter of The "École de Paris", Maurice Utrillo mostly painted landscapes with houses or parts of villages. Maurice Utrillo exhibited in many museums, as The MOMA (New York), The Ashmolean Museum of Art (UK), The Carnegie Museum of art (New York), and The "Musée de L'orangerie" (France), The Centre Pompidou, The National Museum of Modern Art (France),The Cantonal Fine-Arts Museum, Lausanne (Switzerland), The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) or The Tate Collection (UK)...
