Michel Henry :
Born in Langres in 1928, Michel Henry is a french painter. He entered The "École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts" of Paris and became Massier at Roger Chapelain-Midy's workshop. In 1957-1958 he was laureate of the 28th promotion of the Casa de Velázquez.
Henry became famous with his life still, flower bouquets and landscapes. In 1983, he was named president of the automn Salon. His works are kept in important collections (Modern Art Museum of the city of Paris, Museum of Fine-arts of Valencia, Sursock Museum in Beirut, National Museum of Colombia in Bogota). The artist also realized exhibitions in New York, Palm Beach, Beverly Hills, Paris, Nancy and Tokyo. Since 1956 he received many prizes (Prize of The Taylor Fondation, Prize of The Casa de Velázquez, Prize of The Palais Royal, golden medal of The "Société des artistes français", golden medal of the Salon violet, Great international Prize of the Gemmail...).
