Mary Morton Kemarre :
Née en 1925 à MacDonald Downs en Australie, Mary Morton est une artiste aborigène. Elle intègre le mouvement batik d'Utopia à la fin des années 1970. Aujourd'hui, Mary est devenu une artiste Utopia de renom en peignant ses histoires du Temps du Rêve et son pays, Antarrengeny. Elle vit toujours dans la région Utopia avec sa nombreuse famille. Les œuvres de Mary Morton Kemarre sont exposées dans plusieurs collections en Australie (Flinders University Art Museum, Adelaide, National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, The Holmes á Court Collection, Perth, Mbantua Gallery Permanent Collection, Alice Springs). Ainsi qu'aux Etats-Unis (The Kelton Foundation, Santa Monica).
Ses oeuvres présentent dans de nombreuses collections privées et publiques sont désormais recherchées car sa technique et son âge ne lui permettent de créer que quelques toiles chaque année.
